Kiwi Swim Safe
State and Swimming NZ wanted to launch a new national swimming programme to help school children to be safe in the water. We created a programme identity starting with a mascot - Koru - and he was used throughout all the training collateral for teachers and children's packs that included soft toys, stickers, wrist bands, t-shirts and swimmin gear. Koru was then developed into other characters to help with teaching, including a Surf Lifesaver for beach safety education. We created brand guidelines, marketing, advertising, website, digital, event material that was used nationwide. Take a look.
Logos for each programme created aimed at school children.
Teaching tools and brochures, websites and gamification, and event material for use throughout NZ.
"The State Kiwi Swim Safe Programme has upskilled 7,000 teachers and seen 142,000 children educated about water safety in over 755 schools (60 percent of these coming from Year two of the programme) and it is on track to further exceed targets."
