We're working with very some cool ladies in Wellington who are launching a new not-for-profit dedicated to supporting Kiwis living with visible differences.

Visible differences can result from congenital conditions such as birthmarks or cleft lips, injuries like burns or wounds, illnesses, or surgery. Essential support services like physiotherapy or psychology are quite often underfunded or unavailable in NZ, leaving many people without the help they need. On top of that, stigma around visible differences affects schools and workplaces, limiting opportunities and impacting overall wellbeing.

When creating the brand we wanted to highlight the uniqueness and strength of those living with visible differences, to help make sure they receive the respect and support they deserve. They are resilient, they are one-of-a-kind, and they are strong.

The stylised heart logo is crafted from two overlapping fingerprints - symbolising individuality, authenticity, and meaningful human connections within this community. The heart represents compassion and strength.

Embrace your unique.

Collage with heart-shaped fingerprint designs in green and blue squares. Text: "Visible Difference Aotearoa" and "Embrace your unique."

Tablet and phone display a website featuring a smiling baby in a green hat. Text: "Embrace your unique." Background is light green.
