I spent last week shooting with Alex Wallace on location at Contact's geothermal power stations around the Taupō region…. contributing mainly by staying out of frame, holding the big silver disc and asking questions that revealed significant knowledge gaps.

The scale and complexity of the whole operation was genuinely mind-blowing, and the collective commitment to safety from Contact’s people was really quite impressive.

Alex did his usual magic behind the lens, and I came away knowing more than I ever expected to about steam venting and separation. Something I never thought I’d say, so that’s nice.
